Repairs, refurbishments and improvement, all made possible by our volunteers!

In the 6 weeks up to Christmas, as well as clearing and cleaning the building, we have carried out quite a lot of repairs and refurbishment, Here are a lot of before and after pictures which illustrate these improvements:

• cleared and cleaned the Leslie Godfrey Lounge, the Eric Taylor Lounge and the kitchen – many thanks to Jann Broadbent for all her work here.
• cleared and cleaned the main hall - many thanks to the team from Sowerby Bridge Boxing Club.
• restored the rotting main door, stripping it back to the wood, replacing the beading, and painting it so it almost looks like a new door – many thanks to Philip Eastwood for his work restoring the door and painting the reception area.
• repaired electrical faults, leaking taps, non-flushing toilets, sticking doors and more.
