Well, we have done it - the lease has been signed!
Well, we have done it!
We have finally picked up the keys for Foundry Street Community Centre from the council and are now in possession of the building. The lease has been signed, for the next 125 years, so we can get down to filling the Centre with people again.
Work has already started on clearing rubbish away and giving the entire building a really good clean and freshen up. Funds are tight, so we are doing most of the work ourselves, and anyone out there who fancies lending a hand, please reply to this post, or email foundrystreetcc@gmail.comand we will let you know how and when you can help. We have plans to start painting walls and ceilings downstairs, whilst some of the first activities start using the Centre upstairs.
